History of Brazil Soccer Team
The Brazil Soccer team represents Brazil in international men’s football and it is controlled by the Brazilian Football Confederation commonly known as the CBF, which is the governing body for football in Brazil. The Brazil Soccer team is a member of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) since 1923 and they are also a member of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) since 1916.The Brazilian team is the most successful national football team in the history of the FIFA World Cup, with five championships in their name. They are also the most successful team in the FIFA Confederations Cup with three titles. Brazil has also won eight Copa America titles at the continental level. Cafu, Roberto carlos, ronaldo, gilmar, pele, dunga, dida, Robinho, Ronaldinho, kaka, juan are some of the best players of the team.Brazil is the only team to have won the championship in four different continents. They have done it once in Europe in 1958 at Sweden, once in South America in 1962 at Chile, twice in North America in 1970 and 1994 at Mexico and USA respectively and once in Asia in the year 2002 at South Korea-Japan. There is a very famous saying that The English invented football, the Brazilians perfected it. Brazil is currently coached by Mano Menezes, who was appointed to replace Dunga after the 2010 World Cup. Brazil is the only National Team to have played in every World Cup finals. The 2013 Confederations Cup and the 2014 World Cup are scheduled to be hosted by Brazil. Therefore, they are automatically qualified for the tournaments.Brazil’s Soccer Team coach, Vicente Feol, imposed strict rules on the squad for the Fifa World Cup in 1958. There was a list of 40 things which were prohibited by the players, including wearing hats or umbrellas, smoking while putting official their uniforms on and talking to the press outside the allocated times. They were the only team to bring a psychologist to the training camp or a dentist and had sent a representative to Europe to watch the qualifying matches a year before the tournament had begun.Brazil Soccer Team is the current holder of the FIFA Confederations Cup after their victory in the 2005 and the 2009 edition of the tournament. Brazil is currently on the fifth rank by FIFA and it is consistently considered the strongest football nation in the world. It has also been marked as one of the most competitive teams of each decade since the 1960s.My favorite player on the brazilian soccer team was ronaldinho. His dirbbling skills are un-matched and is always a pleasure to see. I actually got to see him play in persona and it was quite the experience. If you go on yourtube you can see all of his great moves and skills. One commercial that made a lot of headlines was the nike commercial. In this commercial he bounced a Soccer Ball off a goal like 4 times in a row.
